Who We Are
Since 2006, Gary Irwin Solicitors has served as a trusted advisor and advocate for its clients, building a practice with real breadth and depth from an office in Portmarnock.
Our People
Solicitors and legal executives working together on your file, so nothing waits on one desk. You deal directly with the people handling your matter, and you always know who your contact is.
Gary advises and represents clients on a broad range of company, corporate, employment, private client and general litigation matters.
His main focus is Circuit Court and High Court litigation, which he regards as the best vantage point from which to give private and corporate clients the non-contentious advice that keeps them out of court in the first place. His other work includes niche areas such as licensing law, child law, and oppressed directors and shareholders.
Gary's own particular interest in practice is assisting start-up businesses through their birth and growth cycles.

What our clients say
We have received a number of testimonials recognising the creativity and flexibility of the legal advice and service we provide. The most telling, though, has been the continued confidence and trust our clients place in the firm, and the referrals that come with it.
We had the pleasure of dealing with Emma during a recent mortgage switch, and I would highly recommend.
Richard WGary Irwin Solicitors are a master class within the legal industry. I have dealt with them on various matters. This firm is the best in class by a far mile.
Mark CWhat a wonderful team, so accommodating and amazing at communication, highly recommend. Quick responses, too.

Our client charter
That trust is earned on every file. We are committed to providing an excellent level of legal service, and our charter sets out the standards you can expect on every matter we take on. We will:
- Tell you who is dealing with your matter and who your contact is.
- Communicate with you in plain English and keep legal jargon to a minimum.
- Give clear, impartial, honest advice, explain the options open to you, the legal procedures involved and the likely cost and duration, and update you on whether the likely outcome still justifies the costs and risks of continuing.
- Progress your matter as quickly as reasonably possible and keep you informed of the up-to-date position and the timescale for the next steps.
- Deal with your enquiries promptly: we aim to return telephone calls the same day and reply to emails within 24 hours.
- Give you an estimate of fees and outlay at the start of your matter and agree the payment option best suited to you.
- Provide a service that is consistent in performance, dependability and competence.
- Keep your identity and your affairs confidential, save as required by law, and ensure our staff do the same.
- Carry out regular conflict-of-interest checks so that we do not act where a conflict may arise.
- Meet you outside our standard 9am–5pm weekday office hours where that is needed.
- Hold your money, and money received on your behalf or for payment to a third party, in our client account in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
- Consider carefully all feedback about our service. If you think it could be improved, raise it immediately with the person dealing with your matter.
If something is not right: if at any time you believe our service could be improved, or you have a concern about any aspect of it, please raise it immediately with the person dealing with your matter. If it cannot be resolved between you, the Principal will be involved so that the complaint is dealt with under our internal procedures. We are also subject to the general rules of the Law Society of Ireland on complaints. See our terms and conditions of business for more.
